Create a shortcut for Chrome

Windows

To easily open Chrome later, add a shortcut to your taskbar:

Through the Chrome app:

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. On the taskbar, right-click Chrome.
  3. Select Pin to taskbar.

Through the Start menu:

  1. On your computer, open Start .
  2. Find "Chrome.”
  3. Right-click Chrome.
  4. Select Pin to taskbar.

Tip: If there's no more space in the taskbar, you’ll need to remove an app first.

  1. Right-click the app you want to unpin.
  2. Select Unpin from taskbar.
Mac

To easily open Chrome later, add a shortcut to your dock:

  1. On your computer, find Chrome Chrome.
  2. Drag the Chrome app to your dock.

Tip: To add Chrome to your dock, you may need to create space.

  1. Select the app you want to remove.
  2. Drag the app to your home screen.
  3. Drag the Chrome app to your dock.
Linux

To add Chrome on your taskbar:

  1. Find the Chrome app.
  2. Right-click Chrome.
  3. Select Pin to Dash or Add to Favorites.

Tip: If there’s no more space on the taskbar, you must remove an app first.

  1. Right-click the app you want to unpin.
  2. Select Unpin or Remove from Favorites.
